Location
The venue is the picturesque Forth Estuary, between the majestic Queensferry road bridges.
The race will take place in the shallow, sheltered waters of Port Edgar, between the historic military breakwaters.
Race Day Schedule
Check-in will open at 10:30 for teams allocated to Heat 1, with Check-in for later Heats starting at 40 min intervals, so that, for example, Heat 5 Check-in starts at 14:40. Racing will begin at 12:00 noon on the rising tide and the Grand Final will take place at 16:40 on an ebb tide. A more detailed schedule is included at the bottom of the “On The Day” page.
The Course
Embarkation will be from the pontoon reached on foot by steps from the East pier. The rafts will make a clockwise turn around the indicated marker buoy and return to the pontoon. Details of the course are subject to change due to operational conditions on race day.
