How to Enter

Registration is easy!

Enter a Team

To take part in the raft race you must be a member of a registered team. A maximum of 25 teams can take part in this year’s Raft Race, so it is important that teams register as early as possible to ensure their place in the event.

The Team is created and registered by your Team Captain*,  who must complete the following steps:

1.Use the Enter Team Now button and wait for the online race team management system to open (it can be slow).  Then put in your name and email address and tell us the name of your team. Proceed to fill in your registration form as Team Member 1.

Now you will see registration forms for Team Members 2 to 8.

For each of them you must tick the box “Select
if you are unable to provide the details for this participant now. You can allocate this entry later through your profile.”

2.Click on “Confirm Team” and you will be taken to the checkout.

Once payment has been made the named Team will have a confirmed place in the Raft Race.

3. The Team Captain will receive a Team Entry Confirmation email, giving access to our online  system to manage their Team’s details.  The Captain may create an account if they wish. If not, they must retain access to the Team Entry Confirmation email and its “Manage Team” button – or save the link somewhere safe!

The Captain is responsible for filling all the 8 places in their team with willing and eligible rafters, inserting their names and  email addresses in the team management system, and inviting each of them to join the team. When a team member will be under 18 on the day of the race, the Team Captain must use the mail address of a parent or guardian of that rafter, so they will be invited to complete the registration process on behalf of the young rafter.

Team members do not have to be invited all in one go. The process can be completed just as the names and email addresses of suitable members become available. Please see the Register as a Rafter  panel below or on the right.

The Team Captain  should be confident that they can raise a team of eight eligible rafters before paying the team entry fee of £240, as once paid this cannot be refunded.

*The role of Team Captain may be transferred to another rafter in your team at any time before the event, as long as they are over 18 years of age. This option may be used, for example, by corporate administrators to book an entry before any of their team members has been nominated.

How to Build a Team

Register as a Rafter

To take part in the race, rafters must be a member of a registered team, and must complete and submit their online Registration form

Instructions to rafters:

Once your Team Captain has entered your name and email address you will be invited to sign up via a Complete Your Entry email. This will include a link which lets you fill in your registration form online. It is therefore important that your Captain has a valid and accurate email address for you.

NOTE If you are under 18 on the day of the event (28th June 2026), your Captain should use your parent’s or guardian’s email address, as the online registration form must be completed by your parent or guardian,

Rafters are required to make a number of important declarations which are set out on the online Registration form. These include:

(1) Age Eligibility – The rafter must be over 14 years old at the time of the event (28th  June 2026).

(2) Parent/guardian consent – rafters under 18 years old at the time of the event must obtain the permission of at least one parent/guardian to take part in the raft race.

(3) Health and Fitness declaration

(4 ) Consent for photography (optional) for rafters under 18 years of age

(5) A commitment to abide by the rules and instructions set out on this website.

Registration forms must be fully completed before the rafter’s registration is confirmed by an Entry Confirmation email.

The Cost of Entry:

Tickets are sold on a Team basis.

Some organisations may choose to pay for a team ticket for their members or supporters to raise sponsorship and publicity on their

behalf.

In other cases Team Members will choose to share the cost of entry. If so,  it is up to the Team Captain to collect a share of the entry fee from their rafters (e.g. £30 per rafter).

The raft race organisers will not enter into any financial discussion, negotiation or dispute  between Team Captains and/or rafters.

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A TEAM TO JOIN ?

If you would like to take part in the raft race and are looking to join a team, you may enter your name in our Pool of Rafters. This allows Team Captains and others trying to build a team to find willing participants.
